It’s time to stretch your legs and feel the sun on your skin. AARP is gearing up for the spring and summer by offering active outdoor events. Outdoor events include beautiful hikes, exploratory bike rides, and fun canoe trips. If you like to stay landlocked, join AARP on our Trail Trekker hikes or our Destination Rides. If you like to stay cool during Minnesota’s hot summer days, our two Voyager Canoe Trips are perfect for you and a friend.

GROUP BIKE RIDES

Our group bike rides are guided by the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (BikeMN) and feature some of the best cycling destinations in the Twin Cities. These rides are a great way to explore the Twin Cities area and all ability levels are welcome

TRAIL TREKKERS

Trail Trekker Hikes are free volunteer – led hikes around the Twin Cities. These hikes are a great opportunity to get out, get active, and check out some beautiful scenery.

Voyager Canoe Trips

The Voyager Canoe Trips are lead with the help of Wilderness Inquiry. AARP will host two group paddle events. Members will guide 10 - person voyager canoes on the Mississippi River.
