Medicare Matters Session

Medicare provides 57 million Americans access to afford health care and poll after poll confirm its popularity.  Yet, Congressional leaders are proposing significant changes to the program that would increase costs to seniors and
reduce access to quality healthcare.  We're partnering with 125 Live Center for Active Adults to host an
informational session about the issue.  At this event, we'll help you understand the consequences of proposed changes and discuss how you can prevent these harmful cuts – for current and future generations.  Refreshments
will be provided.

AARP Members have experience, energy and a strong desire to "give back" and strengthen their communities.  AARP Serves is an opportunity to come together and do just that.  In March we will volunteer at Channel One Regional Food Bank, sorting and repackaging food donations for distribution at over 200 local agencies to feed our hungry neighbors.

Hunger is not an issue happening "elsewhere."  There are thousands of people in Rochester and Southeast Minnesota in need of assistance to have enough to eat.  Seniors on fixed incomes and people age 50-59 can be at particular risk for hunger, perhaps less able to adjust to increases in monthly expenses or not qualified for assistance available to families with young children.  Let's make a difference!

Monday, March 27
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
