People can attend online or in person at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester (30 Civic Center Drive SE). The annual conference is a collaboration between Mayo, AARP Minnesota and the Alzheimer’s Association’s Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter.

The cost for the general public is $50 for online attendance and $85 in person. Continuing education credit is available for health care professionals.

The event—which runs from 9 a.m. to 4:50 p.m.—will explore emotional well-being from many perspectives. Presenters include people living with dementia, caregivers, health care providers and researchers. Breakout sessions will focus on resources and tools, including planning strategies and doctor-patient communications.

The Alzheimer’s Association projects that 120,000 Minnesotans age 65-plus will have Alzheimer’s disease by 2025.
