It's Time to Honor People Over 50

It’s time to recognize and celebrate the possibilities and contributions that come with age. You don’t have to be under forty, thirty, or twenty to blaze a trail or shake things up.

That’s why AARP Minnesota and Pollen joined together to launch a new program called “ 50 Over 50”—a list of fifty incredible individuals over the age of 50 from across Minnesota who are making an impact and show no signs of slowing down. They don’t adhere to the belief that you have to be under forty, thirty, or twenty to blaze a trail or shake things up. They’re living life on their own terms and improving the lives of others all at the same time.

Do you know someone over fifty who should be on the 50 Over 50 list? Nominate them today. Nominations close on May 13, 2016.

A ten-member selection committee comprised of statewide, cross-sector leaders will select ten honorees in each of the following five categories: Nonprofit, Arts & Culture, Business, Community Building, and Disruption. Honorees will be announced in mid-August.
