Volunteering for AARP Missouri hits the mark!



Welcome to the newest member of the AARP Missouri Executive Council!

Carlette Lewis Rhone, a native of the “Show Me State” and current St. Louisan, has also worked on the western side of the state  in Kansas City. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas -Lawrence and her graduate studies at Webster University in St. Louis. Carlette has a diverse and varied professional background in health services management, Human Resources training and organizational development, and business management.

Carlette has an adventurous spirit and a desire to learn new things. Because of her unique spirit, she has had interesting career experiences, including working as a flight attendant and being an entrepreneur. She began her work life as a youngster in the family-owned restaurant business, and while in college transitioned into hospital and business administration. Currently, she is an active public health researcher, U.S. Government contractor, and community volunteer with various non-profit and civic organizations. Carlette loves to travel and spend time with family and friends when she is not wearing her many hats.

The Executive Council consists of up to eight members, including the Volunteer State President and AARP Missouri State Director. The Executive Council serves in an advisory capacity whose primary function is to help create and monitor the progress of an effective state plan to carry out AARP’s strategic priorities.
