AARP Nebraska has several openings on its statewide advocacy volunteer team. Volunteers work on state and federal issues that are important to AARP members and older Nebraskans, such as caregiving, Social Security, home and community-based care options, transportation, aging services, healthcare, taxation, financial security and more.

We’re proud to introduce AARP Nebraska’s Executive Council, a team of appointed leadership volunteers who help guide, plan and implement activities at the community and state level on behalf of our members and the age 50+ population. They are among 400 dedicated AARP volunteers across our state contributing their wisdom, talents and time in a myriad of ways to help meet the needs of Nebraskans 50 + and their families!

Julie Dunn, a long-time community volunteer in Bennington, is the 2015 recipient of AARP Nebraska’s highest volunteer award. She is the 14th volunteer to be honored with the annual AARP Nebraska Andrus Award for Community Service since it was established in 2002.
