The end of the year is a time filled with joy and comradery as we celebrate the holidays and one another. At AARP Nevada, the work we do could not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our volunteers.
As a way to show our appreciation for those volunteers, our annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunches in Las Vegas and Reno have been announced.
The Las Vegas Volunteer Appreciation Brunch will be held Thursday, December 10th from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Orleans Hotel & Casino. Registration is required and space fills quickly.
The Las Vegas brunch buffet menu will include: Spinach & Roasted Pepper Egg White Frittata with Low Fat Mozzarella Cheese, Scrambled Egg Beaters, Apple Chicken Sausage & Turkey Bacon, Grilled Asparagus, Mushrooms & Peppers, Skillet Red Potatoes with Caramelized Onions, Low Fat Fruit Yogurt, Steel Cut Oatmeal with California Raisins, Brown Sugar & Ground Flax Seeds, Low Fat/Low Sugar Fruit Muffins & Breads and Assorted Chilled Fruit Juices, Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, & Hot Tea.
The Reno Volunteer Appreciation Brunch will be Friday, December 13th from 11am to 1pm at the Renaissance - Reno Downtown Hotel. Free valet parking will be provided. Registration is required and space fills quickly.
The Reno brunch buffet menu will include: Organic Mixed Greens, Shaved Cucumber, Carrot, Red Onion, Baby Tomatoes, Assorted Dressings, and House Croutons; Slow roasted pork loin - charred apple puree, Handmade spatzel (a type of pasta made with fresh eggs) - with chives & brown butter, Whole roasted Fulton Valley Farm's chicken, Sauteed French green beans - roasted shallots, slivered almonds, Artisan brioche rolls, Family-Style Seasonal Fruit Cobbler with Streusel Topping, Freshly brewed Regular & Decaf Coffee and Iced Tea.
