You Can Help Fight Isolation in Nevada - Phone Volunteers Needed

AARP Nevada is building a dedicated team of phone volunteers to conduct outreach and education efforts around brain health, financial security, caregiving, and more. There are two opportunities currently available. Learn about them at our open house and decide if you'd like to try one or both!

Hubdialer Volunteers: Conduct calls to AARP members across the state to share fraud prevention tips, as well as education and awareness of local and national scams. Your personal information and phone number will not be shared. 

  • Training Time: 1 Hour
  • Required Equipment: Computer, Reliable Internet Connection, Phone (Cell or Landline) 
  • Commitment: 1-2 Hours Per Month 

TeleTownHall Screeners: Act as a screener while AARP Nevada holds live Tele-Town Halls on a variety of topics from caregiving to brain health to the latest scams. Get callers into the queue so they can ask their questions live. 

  • Training Time: 1 Hour
  • Required Equipment: Computer, Reliable Internet Connection, Phone (Cell or Landline) 
  • Commitment: 1-2 Hours Per Month 

When: June 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Pacific Time) If you can't make it you can still volunteer. Sign up, and we will send you the recording. 

Where: Via Zoom. Once registered  you will receive the link and password for the Zoom meeting.
