AARP Eye Center
The interactive telephone town hall will focus on AARP Oklahoma’s continued advocacy efforts at the state Capitol and the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
AARP Oklahoma will discuss two proposed utility rate hikes that, if approved, could cost customers more than half a billion dollars. If approved, the $332.5 million OG&E rate hike will cost customers $19 more a month or $228 a year. Participants will also learn about the $218 million requested rate hike from PSO, which, if approved, will cost customers nearly $16 more a month or approximately $192 a year.
The panelists for the interactive town hall include AARP Oklahoma State Director Sean Voskuhl and A.J. Singer, AARP Oklahoma utility attorney. They will field questions from telephone town hall participants, respond to Facebook comments and explain how participants can contact the Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners and tell the commissioners to reject the rate hikes.
