Join AARP Oklahoma for music festival Carney Fest at The Church Studio and celebrate Leon Russell and the Tulsa Sound

Carney Fest at The Church Studio is a music festival celebrating Leon Russell and the Tulsa Sound. It is named after Leon Russell’s 1972 album “Carney.” The Church Studio aims to create “…a family-friendly outdoor experience that enriches our community’s cultural landscape through the power of music.”

As you soak up the sounds, please visit the AARP tent between 4 and 7 p.m. and take a free Leon Russell-inspired picture in our photo booth.

2024 Carney Fest Lineup

  • Headliner: Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs
    Mike Campbell co-founded the Heartbreakers with Tom Petty. As The Heartbreakers lead guitarist, Campbell co-wrote many of the Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers hits. He also wrote songs for Don Henley, Bob Dylan and Stevie Nicks and played on records by Aretha Franklin, Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash.
    Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs released their second LP in 2022, External Combustion, and toured the USA, including runs opening for both Chris Stapleton and The Who.
