New AARP Oklahoma Heart Healthy Trail Open at Quartz Mountain State Park

AARP Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department (OTRD), which oversees Oklahoma State Parks, are proud to announce the grand opening of the 18th Heart Healthy Trail, located at Quartz Mountain State Park near Lone Wolf. The latest addition to the Heart Healthy trail system offers a fully accessible, paved path designed to encourage outdoor activity for people of all ages and abilities. AARP Oklahoma State Director Sean Voskuhl emphasized the importance of the organization’s five-year collaboration with the OTRD and Oklahoma State Parks. “Through AARP’s Livable Communities initiative, we’re working to ensure that across Oklahoma, from urban neighborhoods to rural towns, is welcoming and accessible to people of all ages and abilities,” Voskuhl said. “The new Heart Healthy Trail at Quartz Mountain State Park reflects our continued dedication to fostering healthier lifestyles and creating livable communities where all Oklahomans can thrive.”
