Exploring Democracy in the Digital Age at The National Constitution Center

AARP Pennsylvania and the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia are pleased to present three virtual events that brings the U.S. Constitution to life.

The National Constitution Center is the first and only museum dedicated to the Constitution. With interactive exhibits, rare artifacts, and live theater, the Center serves as the country’s platform for constitutional education and debate.

Register for one or all three events to learn about and celebrate human freedom brought about by the U.S. Constitution.

The Civic Story: Four Harriets of History

Celebrate Women’s History Month by exploring the lives of four American women – Harriet Robinson Scott, Harriet Tubman, Harriet Jacobs, and Harriet Beecher Stowe – who confronted slavery through literature, lawsuits, and direct action in their efforts to free themselves and others from bondage.

The Story of We the People Exhibit Virtual Tour

The Story of We the People, the National Constitution Center’s main exhibit, will guide attendees through the milestones of America’s history and reveal how the U.S. Constitution is as important today as it was in 1787.

The 19th Amendment: Women Fight for Rights

This virtual session traces the roots of the women’s rights movement—from early reform efforts in the 1800s to the ultimate decision to pursue voting rights.
