Make 2025 Your Best Year Yet

We’ve all made New Year’s resolutions to lose weight, quit smoking, and exercise more, only to give up after a few days or weeks. Why not change it up in 2025 with one of these resolutions?

  1. Start a monthly book club and meet at a nearby coffee shop. Members can take turns selecting the next book.
  2. Try a new dinner recipe in a completely different cuisine such as Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Indian, or French.
  3. Volunteer at an animal shelter. The dogs and cats will enjoy your company, and shelters can use the help.
  4. Learn how to knit or crochet. Make beanie caps for the newborns in a local hospital or blankets for the residents in nursing homes.
  5. Digitize your old family photos and send them to your children and grandchildren. It’s important they know their ancestry
  6. Have breakfast for dinner once a week. Cap’n Crunch anyone?
  7. Learn to play the guitar. You could be the next Carlos Santana or Nancy Wilson.
  8. Have a once-a-month game night with family and friends. Classic board games like Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Clue, and Yahtzee have never gone out of style and are great to play in groups.
  9. Make a point of committing random acts of kindness. Offer to help someone with chores or pick up groceries for an older neighbor or new mother in your neighborhood.

No matter what your New Year’s resolution is, if any, make 2025 goals to improve your life and make you (and others) happy.
