Is Your South Dakota City Age-Friendly?

Livable Communities Image

Milbank, a town of more than 3,000 residents in the northeastern region, has joined Sioux Falls as the second municipality in South Dakota to become a part of AARP’s Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities.

Milbank’s leaders are committing to improving livability for residents of all ages. Officials are doing an assessment of needs and then developing a five-year plan.

Well-designed, livable communities can sustain economic growth and make for healthier, happier residents of every age.

More than 435 communities, six states and one territory belong to the network.
