How to Make the Most of Your Phone

South Dakotans who want to learn how to better use their cellphones and tablets or who would like help with demystifying social media can sign up for AARP Technology Education and Knowledge (TEK) classes.

Following a series of popular TEK courses in Sioux Falls and Pierre, the state office is planning to host classes in communities throughout the state based on requests.

TEK courses can introduce participants to smartphones and tablets, privacy settings on Facebook, and how to stay safe online. Internet access, especially in rural parts of the state, can be a lifeline to technologies such as telemedicine, as well as a way to save time and money.

If your community or organization is interested in hosting an AARP TEK class, email or call 866-542-8172 toll-free.
