While the latest statistics show that these caregivers are the fastest-growing racial group in the U.S., more reliable, current data is needed to understand their caregiving needs better.

We know that Asian American caregivers are typically 49-years old and are married or living with a partner. These caregivers look after a parent or parent-in-law who is 69 who is suffering from long-term physical conditions. Also, Asian American caregivers are twice as likely to care for elders as the general population of the same age.

In this week's edition of our AARP Prepare to Care Podcast, we talk to two Asian-American caregivers. Hear, in their own words, what worked, what didn't, and who or what was their saving grace. Their journey may help you cope too.
