Hands-On Workshop to Introduce San Antonians to Mobile Technology

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- Seniors wanting to learn the basics of modern communications technology in order to stay better connected with their families and friends will have a great opportunity to do so at a free Senior Tech RALLY™ to be held on Thursday, February 21 – from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – at Tripoint, 3233 N. St. Mary’s Street.

The hands-on, educational workshop will include a free lunch. AARP is presenting the AT&T Reconnect Tour in alliance with Senior TechRALLY. RSVP is required by calling 877-926-8300 or going to http://aarp.cvent.com/d/9cqr8j.

Described by organizers as the “most interactive mobile tech workshop ever created for seniors,” the event will be led by specially trained instructors who will cover the basic functions of a smartphone and tablet. Topics covered include text messaging, apps, video calling, e-books and photo sharing.
