Help Your Fellow Texans by Volunteering with AARP

Sophie Quest

AARP Texas is looking for volunteers to do everything from giving talks about how to fight fraud to advocating on the state level on issues important to older adults.

Volunteers can help strengthen communities, including helping with programs for caregivers or making phone calls to individuals unable to leave their homes and facing social isolation.

AARP Texas encourages individuals to complete a volunteer interest form at secure.aarp.org/applications/volunteer/general- volunteer-sign-up.action.

Volunteers selected to participate receive an orientation and are then matched to programs that fit their interests and skills, such as AARP Driver Safety.
