A night at the ballpark could be a little cheaper for some fans this season.
AARP and the San Antonio Missions are again offering $2 Tuesdays, starting in April. Discounts are open to all fans — not just AARP members. Included are $2 outfield reserved tickets, $2 parking, $2 sausages and $2 beers. New this season are discounts on tickets for box seats; normally $30, they will go for $15 on the selected nights.
The Missions are the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres and play in the Texas League.
AARP is in its seventh year of sponsoring games, hoping to help combat social isolation and give older adults an outlet for some fun.
Games are held at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium, 5757 U.S. Highway 90 West in San Antonio.
Dates for $2 Tuesdays are April 11 vs. Frisco, April 25 vs. Northwest Arkansas, May 9 vs. Corpus Christi, May 23 vs. Amarillo, June 6 vs. Wichita, June 20 vs. Midland, July 25 vs. Corpus Christi, Aug. 15 vs. Midland, Aug. 22 vs. Amarillo, and Sept. 12 vs. Springfield.
Pick your games early, as discounted tickets often sell out.
