AARP in Houston is sponsoring a free performance of the company’s Three Poems ballet. The ballet features the choreography of one of China’s leading modern dance choreographers: artistic director Wang Yuanyuan, who collaborates with other directors, composers and visual artists to create the productions.

The two-hour ballet is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.; the theater is located at 6000 Hermann Park Drive in Hermann Park.

Free and accessible parking will be available. Food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase. You may bring your own food and drinks, as long as they are in non-glass containers.

You can register for updates on the program at events.aarp.org/TX-1104-Beijing. You can get up to four tickets for seating at milleroutdoortheatre.com/get-tickets from 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 3, through noon on Nov. 4. If tickets run out, you can watch from the hillside lawn. The ballet will be livestreamed; click on “Dream Stream” on the theater’s website.

The performance is part of a series of events AARP is hosting at Miller this season.
