Ensuring the safety of Utah residents is one of our top priorities at AARP Utah.
UPDATE:Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) is now seeking a lower rate increase for users in Utah after the company received feedback from it's customers. On August 28, 2024, RMP submitted a new filing with the Public Service Commission of Utah, dropping the proposed residential rate increase from 30% to 18%.

The National Weather Service issued an Excessive Heat Warning for parts of Utah starting at 9AM on Wednesday, July 10 through midnight on Saturday, July 13. This includes most areas in the state west of I-15; the Wasatch Front, the West Desert, and the Salt Lake, Utah, and Cache Valleys.

During COVID when older Americans were isolated in their homes and in desperate need of trustworthy pandemic information, AARP responded with a digital-age update of an old American tradition: a call-in town hall meeting.
