Did you know that AARP is working for YOU in The Virgin Islands every day? Take a look at some of the things the organization has accomplished in The Virgin Islands during the last five years.
1. Supported legislation making it easier for heirs to inherit property through the Uniform Probate Act.
2. The CARE Act, passed in 2016, helps family members taking loved ones home from the hospital receive instruction in medical tasks they need to perform.
3. The Revised Uniform Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets Act, passed last year, makes it easier to pass along digital assets to heirs.
4. The popular AARP Movies for Grownups program was launched in 2017.
5. Passage of the Uniform Guardianship Bill makes it easier to deal with guardianship issues involving other territories and states.
