AARP VI Celebrates 90 Years of Social Security on St. Croix!

Social Security's 90th Anniversary Celebration on St. Croix!

AARP VI's Free Family Fun Day was initially set for August, but Mother Nature had other plans with heavy rain and flooding that led to its cancellation. However, nothing can keep the vibrant spirit of the Virgin Islands down! The community rallied together, and on November 8th, the celebration finally took place in a spectacular way. Families came out to enjoy a day filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories!

The community truly united at Sion Farm Distillery for an unforgettable event featuring the incredible reggae sensation, Fyah Train! Attendees were thrilled by a captivating dance performance by The Guardians of Culture Mocko Jumbies. Everyone enjoyed free hamburgers courtesy of the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center, along with delightful face painting and balloon animals from Child's Party Service. Sion Farm Distillery ensured that partygoers could "Drink Like You Earned It" by providing signature Mutiny Island Vodka cocktails. Plus, there were fun games, prizes, and exciting giveaways from AARP VI, making it a wonderful day for all!

“Over the past 90 years, Social Security has consistently delivered on its promises, never missing a single payment! This incredible track record is a testament to its reliability,” said Rebecca Hughson, Associate State Director of Communications and Outreach for AARP VI.
