AARP Eye Center
Explore the secrets of ancient China when the Terracotta Warriors of the First Emperor exhibition premieres April 8, 2017, at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle. This exclusive exhibit will have a five-month run, ending September 4. Seattle and Philadelphia are the only two U.S. cities that will host the display.
AARP members and their guests are eligible for a 10 percent discount on admission, and will have the opportunity to come face-to-face with the real warriors and learn about advancements during the Qin Dynasty, such as standardization of coins, weights and measurements. Visitors can view artifacts excavated from Pit One, an active dig the size of three football fields, where archaeologists have uncovered more than a thousand terracotta warriors. Visitors can also see The Mysteries of China, an IMAX documentary about ancient China and the first emperor.
AARP members and their guests can purchase tickets by phone at 1-800-664-8775 or at the door, using the code RP10 to receive the discount.
In addition, the museum will host a special "AARP Monday Morning" event on July 10 featuring a guest lecture, a light breakfast and early access to the exhibit. Tickets are $24 per person and can be purchased online. Click this link and enter promo code RP10. Click Terracotta Warriors Lecture and select July 10.
