As part of AARP's Operation Stop Scams, AARP Alabama is teaming up with the Montgomery Clean City Commission, MAX Credit Union, and WSFA for a FREE public Shred-A-Thon on Friday, April 21 from 7 AM to 1 PM at Garrett Coliseum South Parking Lot. The shred even is free, but we are asking the public to consider bringing a non-perishable food donation to benefit the Montgomery Area Food Bank. Bring up to three bags or file boxes of unwanted personal documents to be securely shredded on-site by Gilmore Services.
AARP Alabama is teaming up with the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, WPMI Local 15, and the Mobile Bay Bears for a FREE public Shred-A-Thon on Saturday, April 22 from 9 AM to 1 PM at Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile. Bring up to three bags or file boxes of documents to be shredded on-site by Shred-it.

AARP Shred Fest 2016 is a series of document-shredding events nationwide. In Alabama, we'll be in Scottsboro on Saturday, April 30 from 9 AM to Noon for this FREE public event. The Shred Fest event will be located on Caldwell Street in Scottsboro, between the Fire Department and City Hall.

This Saturday, April 18, AARP Alabama is co-sponsoring a FREE shred and electronics recycling event for Huntsville-area residents. It will take place at Redstone Federal Credit Union at 220 Wynn Drive NW in Huntsville. We'll be there from 8:30 AM to 12:00 noon, shredding your personal documents and destroying hard drives and other electronics on-site.
