“The end of Alzheimer’s starts with me.” That’s the slogan for the Phoenix Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Cosponsored by AARP Arizona, the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute and Dignity Health, the event is Saturday, Nov. 12.
Tempe is moving forward in its bid to become Arizona’s first “dementia friendly” city by raising awareness about cognitive decline and meeting the needs of its aging population.
This fall AARP is hosting a series of CAREversations—free events that mix fun with purpose. Each event encourages caregivers to share tips, build a support network and learn about local resources.
