Helping Others: How to Volunteer for 9/11 Day of Service

Cassandra Addison, AARP

As part of the 9/11 Day of Service, AARP Arkansas will enlist volunteers in central Arkansas to work shifts at the Arkansas Foodbank on Thursday, Sept. 12. The food bank supplies pantries across much of the state.

The event is open to any AARP volunteer. Registration is required, at events.aarp.org/ARDayofService24. The day of service is recognized as a way to give back and to honor those killed during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
