Arkansas Programs Help People Stay in Their Homes

Caregiving recruitment E-Blast

AARP Arkansas knows that many older people want to live in their home for as long as possible.

The state has programs to help people avoid nursing facilities, such as ARChoices in Homecare, which provides medical and support services for adults eligible for nursing home payments. Funded by Medicaid, the program offers services like adult day care, meals and respite care.

Arkansas Money Follows the Person, which helps residents move from nursing facilities to home- and community-based care, also makes it easier for people to remain at home.
