Project Overview

This holiday season, AARP Arkansas will bring people together for a virtual holiday service project that will spread kindness to seniors and residents of Arkansas Hospice that have been isolated due to COVID-19.

On December 4, during the live event, participants will be instructed on how to make cards with messages of hope and holiday cheer, using supplies available from home.  Please see the suggested supply list instructions on how to mail your cards, and additional event information below.  Participants will also receive this information upon registration.

How to Deliver Your Cards

Cards for this project will need to be mailed or delivered by Friday, December 11.  Please mark your envelope with #AARPARCares so that Arkansas Hospice knows the cards came from our project!  There are two ways to deliver your cards:

DROP OFF -- You can safely drop off your Cards of Kindness to one of the Arkansas Hospice outdoor collection bins weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They will hold the cards for 48 hours in a secure environment to ensure they are virus-free, then distribute the cards to area residents of nursing homes and other centers who have suspended visitors. From there, the staff of participating facilities will share your kindness with their residents.  Find a location near you: https://www.arkansashospice.org/cardsofkindness/

MAIL -- If you are staying at home or not close to one of our collection stations, you can simply mail your Cards of Kindness. From there, they will be handled with the same care and distribution as cards dropped at a collection station. Mail to:
