AARP Eye Center
Urban Bicycling can be enjoyed by everyone. AARP knows that it is more important than ever to have options for how you get around your community, so we’ve partnered with the City of Sacramento to bring their Urban Bicycling 101 class to you! This class will help you ride safely and effectively—whether its’ to work, to the store, to the park, or just a leisurely ride around your neighborhood.
Urban Bicycling 101 is like Driver’s Ed for cyclists. This class is designed for anyone, from beginners, to those just wanting become more comfortable riding their bike. It is also a great opportunity to learn about what the City of Sacramento is doing to improve bicycling and safety for all users of the road, and how AARP is working to help build an age-friendly Sacramento.
The workshop is in-classroom. You do not need a bicycle to attend. Workshop participants will learn about:
- Bicycling and the law

- How to enjoy the ride
