AARP is working in partnership with local leaders, organizations and dedicated residents to help make California more livable for residents of all ages.
The four-month initiative gave aspiring youth filmmakers the educational, technical and financial support they needed to make short documentaries that highlight issues facing older adults and how some local programs are stepping in to help.
In June, California became the eighth state to join the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities, committing to develop a strategy and resources to help it become a great location for everyone to live, play and age in place.
To help drive change and improve livability in California, AARP has sponsored 15 fellows to participate in the America Walks’ Walking College program.
