This fall, Community-Minded Dance is bringing the best of social dancing to Denver with Lindy Diversion 2013. The event will offer lindy hop, tap, jazz and blues dancing classes to every level of dancer, including those with two left feet, with award-winning international dance instructors. The weekend of October 18-20 will also feature live music and spectacular performances, celebrating the spirit and the history of American social dance.
The star-studded list of instructors, performers and musicians will bring a flavor of jazz history rarely seen in Denver. Chazz Young, the son of Lindy Hop legend Frankie Manning, will be at the event to teach some of his father’s classic material. Stephen Mitchell and Virginie Jensen have taught many types of dance internationally for decades and are excited to bring their unique style to Colorado. Gordon Webster, one of the most sought-after swing bandleaders in America, will play with a talented and diverse group of musicians October 18 and 19. The full list of instructors, musicians and registration information is available at LindyDiversion.com.
