The Connecticut Masters’ Games and AARP Connecticut are providing a free seminar about helping age 50+ workers achieve their employment goals by connecting people to trusted resources, information and peer networks. This one-and-a half-hour seminar focuses on the nuts and bolts of job searching in the digital age, showcases the power of developing a personal brand and helps people learn to network with ease.
If you are age 50 or over and looking for a job or seeking to change careers, you know how difficult it can be to find fulfilling work. The average duration of unemployment for the aged 55+ jobseeker is about 50 weeks, compared with 34 weeks for younger jobseekers. The tips and tools provided by Nora Duncan and Jean Baur will invigorate your job search. Come prepared to meet new people network with other attendees.
