Work at Age 50+: Strategies for a Successful Job Search
Workshop participants will learn the essentials any 50+ jobseeker must consider and hear about free resources available from AARP and others. Specific focus areas include digital and social media platforms, personal branding, networking and age-proofing your resume. This session requires registration to receive the secure link provided by AARP Connecticut.

Yoga at Age 50+: Introductions & Insights
This webinar, offered in consecutive weeks, will introduce participants to the principles of yoga as well as what to expect when you begin your personal practice. Join AARP Connecticut and the Yoga in Our City Program to gain insights into how to build a sustainable practice – both mentally and physically. Both sessions will feature the same content and topics so registration for the week you would like to attend is required.

Dementia: After the Diagnosis – Empathy & Empowerment & the LiveWell Experience
Receiving a diagnosis of dementia can be overwhelming, both for the person with dementia and family members. It is common for several emotions to surface and families to be uncertain of next steps. Join Erica DeFrancesco, MS, OTR/L, Director of Community Education at LiveWell for a conversation about living with dementia. LiveWell partners with people living with dementia and their family members to support them in better understanding dementia while also providing resources related to emotional support, health and wellness, social and meaningful engagement, and planning. Living well with dementia is possible and involves knowing one's life story and empowering people with dementia.  Registration is required.
