Organized by our community partner Bike Delaware, the conference had a diverse international panel that included issues experts and engineers from across the country and the Netherlands. It also served as platform for discussion of challenges for eight specific intersections across the State of Delaware that can be made a bit more safe for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. AARP Delaware State President George Meldrum provided welcoming remarks, expressing AARP’s support for better transportation options for Delawareans, especially those age 50+.

Social connectedness is vital throughout our lives, and even more so as we move into our next chapter of life.
It’s been harder for people to see their grandchildren during the pandemic, but thanks to an AARP Community Challenge grant, Delawareans have found a way to connect.
