Fight Fraud - Shred Instead

shredding

AARP is teaming up with BECU to help fight financial fraud through a free shredding event. On Saturday, October 22nd, members can safely dispose of their sensitive personal paperwork at three BECU locations in Tukwila, Federal Way and Everett.

We are looking for volunteers to help with this event at all three locations. If you can help direct traffic, assist with unloading cars, serve as a greeter or help out in any way, please contact our Outreach Director Amanda Frame at aframe@aarp.org. You can volunteer between 8:15am and 1:00pm.

The event runs from 9:00am to 1:00pm. You can bring up to three grocery bags or two bankers boxes of paperwork to be shredded at no charge. Also, we'll be accepting electronics! So you can dispose of computers, laptops, monitors, TVs and cell phones for recycling.

The sites are:

BECU Tukwila Financial Center
12770 Gateway Drive, Tukwila 98168

BECU Everett Mall
1402 SE Everett Mall Way, Everett 98208

BECU Federal Way Pavilions Neighborhood Financial Center
31411 Pacific Highway South, Federal Way 98003
