Welcome to the homepage for the AARP Washington State Podcast. Our podcast focuses on Health, Wealth & Self, and how we can make life after age 50 the best years of our lives.
Our national lawmakers are holding Town Halls around the state in the month of August. This is a great opportunity to talk with them about the issues of concern to you. These are the sessions we are aware of. If you hear of any others, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll add them to the list. All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge but it's best to double check with the legislator's office before you go.
The 2018 elections are some of the most important in our lifetimes. Issues like Medicare, Social Security, prescription drugs, family caregiving, age discrimination, and Medicaid are on the line.
The AARP Washington State Office is currently recruiting our next Volunteer State President to help guide our work, act as an ambassador for AARP in our state and lead our corps of dedicated volunteers. With the State Director, and in collaboration with other volunteers and staff, the State President is a partner in the AARP WA strategic state plan.
Would you like to talk with your state Senators and Representatives? Many are holding in-district Town Halls over the next few weeks. Below are the events we know about and we'll be adding to the list as more are announced.
