AARP Florida Re-Clarifies It Does Not Endorse Candidates, or Make Contributions to Political Campaigns or Candidates

AARP Florida State Director Jeff Johnson issued the following statement today in response to Independence USA citing AARP as a source in a new political advertisement targeting President Trump:

 “AARP did not authorize or participate in the production of the advertisement targeting President Donald Trump. AARP has a proud 34-year history of non-partisan voter engagement and does not endorse or oppose candidates, nor does AARP make contributions to political campaigns or candidates. We encourage Floridians to ask questions so they understand where the candidates stand on important issues and make their own decisions on Election Day.”

AARP Florida issued a similar statement on a previous Independence USA PAC advertisement on Oct. 5.
