Do you know an extraordinary volunteer age 50+ who is making a significant difference in your community? AARP Florida wants to honor them!

AARP Florida is now accepting nominations for its 2025 Florida Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors 50+ Floridians who are sharing their experience, talent, and skills to make a lasting impact in their community.

The Andrus Award for Community Service is AARP’s most prestigious volunteer honor, celebrating those whose service embodies AARP’s vision of community impact. Last year, AARP recognized 49 outstanding individuals and couples from around the country.

“AARP Florida is excited to shine a light on 50+ Floridians who are using what they’ve learned in life to make a difference in the lives around them,” said Jeff Johnson, State Director of AARP Florida.

Nominations will be evaluated by AARP Florida based on how the volunteer’s work has improved the community, reflected AARP’s vision and mission, and inspired other volunteers.

Know someone who may be a good fit? Nominate them today at aarp.org/AndrusAward by September 30!
