What Are Ethical Wills?

Mother and Daughter
Mother and Daughter Enjoying Time Together

Ethical wills offer a way to convey to those you love, your life-lessons, values, wisdom and blessings. During this unprecedented time of staying close to home, you might find creating an ethical will a meaningful way to spend your time.

AARP Florida is hosting an online workshop on May 12 when you can learn how to gather the information needed to develop your ethical will, hear examples of ethical wills, consider the fundamental questions of who you wish to hear the ethical will, when, and how, and you are well on your way.

Rev. Candace McKibben is the Director of Faith Outreach at Big Bend Hospice where she has served for 15 years. She pastors the Tallahassee Fellowship Church and writes a weekly column for the Tallahassee Democrat that appears in the Saturday Faith Section. She is involved in endeavors to improve our life together as community.
