AARP Chicago cordially invites everyone to Café de Olla, a series of Chicago Latino/Hispanic community based events.
What, you may ask, is Café De Olla?
Café de olla is a Mexican coffee beverage. It is a staple household drink common for Mexican and Mexican-American families. People congregate and converse over a shared a cup of café and a piece of sweet bread.
The easiest and most common recipe has 3 ingredients: ground coffee, cinnamon, and sugar. Add these elements to a pot of boiling water and enjoy moments later! Café de olla is so popular for its flavor that you can purchase café de olla flavored coffee in everyday supermarkets and coffee shop.
In this spirit, we invite residents and businesses to congregate, converse, voice their concerns and learn about resources available in their community at our Café’ de Olla series.
Join AARP September 6th, October 4th, and November 1st to find out how you can positively impact your community. AARP will fight for you as an Illinois leading advocate for the 50+ population.
