AARP ILLINOIS SUPPORTS THE BETTER GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION (BGA) ELECTION 2016: CANDIDATES, CHAOS, AND CONSEQUENCES LUNCHEON

AARP Illinois was a proud supporter of the Better Government Association (BGA) 2016 Springfield Luncheon entitled Election 2016: Candidates, Chaos, and Consequences.

The Luncheon was held on Tuesday, September 27 th at the Doubletree by Hilton located at 701 East Adams in Springfield.  The event  featured Former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar, Chris Kennedy, former University of Illinois Chair and Special Guest: Springfield native Natalie Bomke, FOX 32 Chicago.

Election 2016: Candidates, Chaos, and Consequences  discussed this year’s fascinating yet troubling election season in addition to a conversation on the deeper context of Illinois’ election system and its effect on our state’s challenges and opportunities for election reform.

“This event begins a dialogue that brings light to all the misinformation and confusion in this 2016 election’ says Gallo “The BGA brings both sides of the aisle where we can discuss what can be done to help all of Illinois especially the 50+ community.”
