AARP Illinois volunteers give helpful presentations at libraries, community centers and other gathering places.
Whether you can spare a few hours or commit long term, you can make a difference — and new friends, too! AARP Illinois offers both remote and in-person volunteer opportunities, and provides training and support to enhance your experience.
In 2024, AARP Volunteers advocated in the Capital and in their home districts for a total of 11,700 minutes or 195 hours between February and June. This led to meaningful lobbying and the passage of laws important to those 50+ and their families!
Volunteers also led 149 out of 367 AARP Illinois events last year, connecting with 35,073 people.
