Bloomington, Ind. – At its December 13 meeting, the Bloomington Common Council adopted a new ordinance that will improve accessibility for people who are deaf or experiencing any kind of hearing loss.

Indianapolis, Ind. – Mattie Perry-Lightfoot has been selected by AARP, the nonprofit organization for people 50 and older, to receive the 2023 AARP Indiana Andrus Award for Community Service, the Association’s most prestigious and visible state volunteer award for community service.

In honor of National Family Caregivers Month 2023, AARP Indiana is hosting Caregiver Weeklies, a virtual event series that spans each week in November. AARP Indiana staff and volunteers will chat with experts in the caregiving field from communities across the state.
