Evergy customers in Kansas may see an increase in their utility bill come December, but it won't be as much as Evergy had anticipated. The Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC) has approved a proposed settlement agreement in the Evergy rate case with some customers seeing an increase and others seeing a decrease depending on where they live in Kansas. The announcement was made on Tuesday, November 21 - a month before the KCC's deadline to make a decision on the settlement proposal.

AARP Works to bridge digital divide

On Tuesday, July 11, AARP Kansas State Director Glenda DuBoise provided testimony in front of the Kansas Corporation Commission regarding the request for a rate increase by Evergy, the company that provides electricity to a large part of Kansas.

AARP Kansas is pleased to celebrate Alan Shirling’s third year as the state's Driver Safety Coordinator for the AARP Driver Safety program. Alan started with the program in 2013 as a driver safety instructor.
