Mike Festa, of Melrose, who has served as AARP state director since January 2013 has announced he is stepping down from the position effect July 5, 2024. AARP is conducting a nationwide search for the next AARP Massachusetts state director.
AARP Community Challenge Grants fund projects that make tangible improvements to jump-start long-term change and improve livability. Applications were accepted through March 6, 2024, 5:00 p.m.
Now in its 8th year, the AARP Community Challenge has invested over $16.4 million through 1,370 grants in communities across all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
