AARP Real Possibilities by AARP Michigan is a weekly TV show airing every Tuesday on ABC 53 in Lansing and Jackson at 9:00 am and ABC 4 West Michigan at noon.
AARP Executive Vice President and Chief Advocacy and Engagement Officer Nancy LeaMond issued the following statement on Friday, February 28, related to comments about changes at the Social Security Administration (SSA):
Lansing, Michigan – As part of AARP’s She’s the Difference voter engagement campaign celebrating the power of women voters, AARP Michigan is offering a first look at the republican and democratic contenders for the state’s highest elected office.
Less than 40 days before the midterm elections, an overwhelming majority of women voters age 50 and over say they are certain to vote this November (94%), however half (51%) of this swing voter group say they have still not decided which candidates to support, according to a new AARP poll released today. Among these voters in a generic congressional ballot, Republican and Democrat candidates are tied.
Grab the grandkids and make memories at the grand re-opening of Lansing’s AARP Sponsored Fitness Park on Saturday, September 14 from 1 to 4:00 p.m. The afternoon will feature demonstrations of the exercise stations for the adults and many interactive activities to do with your grandchildren. You can even challenge the grandkids to fitness contests! Hula hoops anyone?
