Educators Making a Difference: From Classroom to Community

Once an Educator, Always a Changemaker

Once an educator, always a changemaker.

The National Retired Teachers Association (NRTA) was founded by Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus to address the needs of retired educators. Her passion for education and service led to the creation of AARP, transforming the lives of older Americans and laying the foundation for AARP's mission. This legacy continues to inspire many of our dedicated volunteers, who are former or current educators bringing their passion for making a difference to new challenges and opportunities. Whether it's advocating for issues affecting older adults, supporting community initiatives, or simply lending a helping hand, your skills and experience are invaluable.

Make a Difference

Educators make a difference, and not just in the classroom. With AARP Minnesota, you can continue to empower your community, advocate for important issues, and support older adults in meaningful ways.
