Eight Montana locales are receiving funding this year from AARP Community Challenge grants.

The grants in Montana total $83,255 for projects that range from improving accessibility at public places to enhancing outdoor sports amenities.

Among the recipients:

  • The city of Dillon: Seasonally themed, high-visibility crosswalks around Jaycee Park.
  • The city of Glasgow: An outdoor fitness court next to the city hospital.
  • Missoula in Motion: Two street murals, helping to promote pedestrian safety.
  • Plains Pickleball Association: Courtside amenities at two new pickleball courts.
