AARP Nebraska Executive Council
Suzan DeCamp, 67, of Omaha, is AARP Nebraska’s new volunteer state president, helping to lead AARP’s work at the state and local levels.
After six years of dedicated service, David Holmquist, 75, of Omaha, is stepping down as AARP Nebraska’s volunteer state president. Holmquist has built integral relationships with elected officials, community partners and volunteers on behalf of the state’s nearly 200,000 AARP members.
Nebraska lawmakers’ repeated refusal to extend Medicaid to uninsured, low-income adults means far fewer state residents have health care coverage compared to their neighbors in Iowa and Colorado.
